Hi, I'm The Mobile Drummer
Drummer, teacher, and lifelong lover of music. I've been playing drums for over 20 years, and there's nothing I enjoy more than helping others discover the joy of making music.
My Story
I started playing drums when I was just 3 years old, learning from my dad who was a drummer himself. Those early years at the kit sparked something in me that has never gone away. From there, I took lessons growing up, but over time I branched out and developed my own style behind the kit.
By the time I was 13, I was already playing in church regularly, which gave me real experience playing with other musicians and developing solid timing and feel. There's something special about playing in a group setting - learning to listen, adapt, and support the music around you. Those years shaped me not just as a drummer, but as a musician.
Since then, I've also played in bands and continued to grow as a drummer. Every gig, every rehearsal, every jam session has taught me something new. Whether it's a high-energy rock show or a quiet acoustic set, I love the challenge of bringing the right feel to every situation.
What I enjoy most now is teaching.
I genuinely love helping people connect with music, especially beginners who are just getting started. There's nothing better than seeing someone go from “I've never played before” to actually locking into a beat and having fun.
I'm currently teaching my 6-year-old nephew, which has been a great reminder that learning drums should always be fun, encouraging, and something you look forward to. Watching him light up when he plays his first beat reminds me why I fell in love with drumming in the first place.

My Teaching Philosophy
My goal is simple: help you enjoy the process, build confidence, and actually have fun playing drums.
I believe drumming should be exciting, not stressful. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to fit your pace, your interests, and your goals. Whether you want to play along to your favorite songs, join a band, or just have a new hobby, I'll help you get there.
Most importantly, I want every lesson to be something you look forward to. When learning feels like play, progress happens naturally.
“Music is meant to be enjoyed. My job is to help you find that joy behind the drums.”
